Science Oxford runs two key programmes for primary schools and a STEM Careers Programme for secondary school students to inspire young people in science, technology, engineering and maths across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Follow the links below to find out more.
To extend our impact, in May 2024 The Oxford Trust launched the Accessing Science Fund to give children and young people in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire who experience barriers to STEM engagement the opportunity to access science learning through Science Oxford’s programmes. Find out more here.
Primary School Programme
Our Primary School Programme supports STEM teaching and learning for schools across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Schools can visit us at the Science Oxford Centre in Headington or we can run activities in your school.
Secondary School Programme
We develop and deliver engaging events and activities which inspire secondary school students to take up STEM skills and careers.

Badgers set to benefit from new government strategy

We’re big fans of badgers here at Science Oxford; they can be slightly unruly tenants from time to time, prone to leaving trails of destruction and digging latrine pits wherever they chose, but I love them. That’s why we were interested to read the announcement by the government at the end of August about their new strategy that will help better understand a deadly disease, improve the health of badger populations, and bring an end to the controversial badger cull.
