Science Oxford runs two key programmes for primary schools and a STEM Careers Programme for secondary school students to inspire young people in science, technology, engineering and maths across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Follow the links below to find out more.
To extend our impact, in May 2024 The Oxford Trust launched the Accessing Science Fund to give children and young people in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire who experience barriers to STEM engagement the opportunity to access science learning through Science Oxford’s programmes. Find out more here.
Primary School Programme
Our Primary School Programme supports STEM teaching and learning for schools across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Schools can visit us at the Science Oxford Centre in Headington or we can run activities in your school.
Secondary School Programme
We develop and deliver engaging events and activities which inspire secondary school students to take up STEM skills and careers.

Government Chief Scientific Adviser Professor Dame Angela McLean visits Science Oxford Centre

Professor Dame Angela McLean, the Government Chief Scientific Adviser, and Rachael Tapping, Head of Communications, Association for Science and Discovery Centres (ASDC), visited Science Oxford Centre.
The whole day was an extremely positive and valuable experience for children that complemented the work we are doing in school.
