National Coding Week
National Coding Week, an annual event in the third week in September, promotes the importance of learning digital skills.
The main theme in 2023 is Artificial Intelligence (AI), but will also cover other important topics such as digital skills, cyber security and, of course, coding.

Mission Zero
What can you do in National Coding Week? Science Oxford’s Technology Projects Officer, Sarah Townson, recommends signing up to Astro Pi’s Mission Zero when the next challenge launches in September 2023.
Teachers, parents, or club leaders can sign up on behalf of their children. Children will then follow an online tutorial to make their code, and submit it to be run on the ISS in 2024.
Mission Zero is great for beginners learning Python, and they can get their code run (for real!) on the International Space Station (ISS).
