Families, Ages 5-9

Celebrate World Earthworm Day at this month’s wriggly Club. Worms are great – find out why! Unearth the secret life of worms and how they contribute to nature’s ecosystem. Make a jelly worm, learn about composting and see how worms help the soil to grow veg and plants. Dig for worms in our woodland, and take a survey by counting and identifying our wriggly friends. Take home an activity sheet to build your own micro-wormery for the garden, and share yours @scienceoxford #Earthwormsareimportant.

Join in the woodland pumpkin hunt, spooky outfits encouraged! Included entry to woodland and outdoor Water Lab all day.

You can additionally book tickets for our Family Day which includes 2 hours in the Exploration Zone and hands-on activities at the Live Lab. Family Day tickets 21 October, part of IF Oxford science and ideas Festival.
