Young coders make ping-pong ‘pin ball’ contraptions with BBC micro:bits and Python at this month’s Club. Using servo motors and a range of props, create your own ‘balls down the wall’ machine and make a vertical ball run challenge! Up, down or side to side, control the release of ping pong balls – will you program them to release at random, or precisely when and where? In our fun, hands-on session, ‘whizzkids’ use their coding and engineering skills to programme and play a mean pinball. ‘Who’ will win the challenge?

Event Details
All Saturday Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things.
Our fun sessions reflect real world scenarios as coders bring their projects to life with the latest tech gadgets, programming in a variety of languages depending on the session. We encourage creativity and self-led learning with themed projects, and practice patience and problem-solving skills in learning to debug computer code. Suitable for: beginners or advanced.
