Teacher taster sessions to restart this September
Calling all primary school teachers in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire! Our popular teacher taster sessions, which give early years and primary school teachers the opportunity to come and explore our new Science Oxford Centre, will begin again this September.
Starting on Thursday 12thSeptember, we’ll be running free twilight tours for teachers to show you the centre’s facilities, share our learning ethos and demonstrate how inspiring it will be to bring your class for a visit.
The session includes:
Having a go with the hands-on exhibits in our Exploration Zone.
Viewing the Workshop learning space and enjoy some tea and cake.
Checking out our Theatre and get an overview from the centre team.
Experience part of a Woodland Trail in our 15-acre woodland.
Here’s what teachers have been saying about the Science Oxford Centre so far:
“Thank you for a truly brilliant visit to the new centre today – what an incredible new facility you have created! I think the gasps from the children spoke for themselves as they walked into the Exploration Zone this morning – we feel very lucky to be the first to use those exhibits today! We thought that the workshop worked really well and the woodland walk was a really big hit too, with lots to learn and explore on the site.”
Y4 Teacher after trial visit
“I love the principles underlying the building and work planned here. So exciting and uplifting for children being able to experience thought-provoking and stimulating discoveries.”
