Saturday Science Club Abingdon – Flubber, Rubber and Slime (Ages 5-9) Cancelled
Go gooey over slime! Plastic is everywhere, but what is it – and can we help our world by understanding more about it? We’re all tackling pollution by re-using, recycling and reducing, but it’s our young scientists of tomorrow who will invent new ways to help protect the environment. In this fun session we’ll flash the plastic and investigate the chemistry of this sticky substance, produce polymers from milk and make a rubber ball to bounce all the way home. Fantastic!
We regret to announce this event has been cancelled.
We are cancelling our public events until further notice and will review our programme after Easter. If you require any further information, please contact us. In the meantime, please keep up-to-date with Science Oxford by following us on social media. Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to returning to Abingdon soon.
Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
Science Oxford is committed to inclusion and we recognise that cost is sometimes a barrier. Funded places for eligible families are now available, thanks to the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust. Families could be eligible for these places for several reasons; for example, if your child receives free school meals or is a looked-after child. To find out more and to book one of these places, please contact [email protected]

This event is part of a partnership between Science Oxford and the Abingdon Science Partnership to bring science-themed activities to wider audiences across the region.
