This course provides the opportunity to learn some new programming techniques with Scratch, and consider its potential for cross-curricular use in the classroom. Includes an introduction to ‘unplugged’ activities, and other techniques and software you can use to engage learners with computing. Perfect for ‘beginners’ as well as teachers with more computing experience.

Course Outcomes
  • Familiarisation with Scratch programming
  • Introduction to a range of software and devices suitable for use in KS1 and KS2
  • Opportunity to share best practice

We would usually expect one member of Science Oxford staff to be able to provide three activities in a day. Most of our shows are suitable for up to 60 children and most of our workshops for up to 30 children. We will create a draft timetable for you based on the information you provide below.
