Duration: Twilight – 1.5 hours

Suitable For: Suitable for Teaching staff, ECTs, TAs, science co-ordinators

This course provides the opportunity to learn some new programming techniques with Scratch, and consider its potential for cross-curricular use in the classroom. Includes an introduction to ‘unplugged’ activities, and other techniques and software you can use to engage learners with computing. Perfect for ‘beginners’ as well as teachers with more computing experience.

Course Outcomes

Familiarisation with Scratch programming
Introduction to a range of software and devices suitable for use in KS1 and KS2
Opportunity to share best practice
